What do I need to do before my spray tan?
At least a week before your scheduled appointment, exfoliate and moisturize on a daily basis so your skin is hydrated and in optimal condition for a great tan!
On the day of your appointment
Shower and exfoliate using a loofa. If you choose to use a body exfoliating product be to choose an oil-free product. Exfoliation will ensure optimal results. Whether this is your first spray tan or your tenth, it is very important to exfoliate before each session. Try to avoid using bar soap which can leave residue on your skin. Shave or wax the night before to ensure little sensitivity.
Wear loose fitting and dark clothing. Tight clothing can rub the tanning solution off and potentially cause rub off onto lighter coloured clothing especially in humid weather.
BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT DO NOT APPLY ANY OF THE FOLLOWING:
DEODORANT/ANTI-PERSPIRANT, LOTIONS/CREAMS, PERFUMES/BODY SPRAYS, MAKE-UP OR MOISTURIZERS
What do I wear?
You can choose to wear whatever is most comfortable. Clients have chosen anything from swimwear to nothing at all. Men are required to wear briefs, swimwear, or thongs. You can expect the utmost in privacy and professional care.
Age of Consent- Clients under the age of 18 must have a parent/guardian present during the service and wear a top and a bottom. This can be swimwear, or any other comfortable clothing.
What should I do after my spray tan?
DO NOT sit directly on leather or light fabric furniture, put a towel or blanket down first. Bring a towel to put over your car seat if you are travelling right away.
DO NOT SHOWER or BATHE for a minimum of 6 - 10 hours after your session. When you take your first shower, you will see the cosmetic top layer of bronzer wash off - this is normal.
DO NOT participate in any activity which may cause perspiration for at least 12 hours after your session.
DO NOT swim in pools or soak in hot tubs, this will remove the solution.
DO NOT exfoliate or use a body exfoliating product until you are ready for your next session, this will prolong your initial tan.
MOISTURIZE, MOISTURIZE, MOISTURIZE - twice daily with an alcohol-free lotion or cream. Shea butter or cocoa butter is ideal. Hydrated skin makes your tan last longer and will slow down the fading process.
