About FAKE BAKE

The main ingredient in FAKE BAKE is dihydroxyacteone (or DHA as it is commonly referred to). It has been used in the cosmetic industry for over 30 years. It’s manufactured from sugar and does not contain any harmful chemicals or alcohol like many of the tanning products on the market. FAKE BAKE does contain erythulose which when combined with DHA reduces streaking and miscoloring.

How it Works

FAKE BAKE is a fine mist solution is gently sprayed by our spray tan specialist, while you stand in our portable pop up tent. The FAKE BAKE solution, once applied to the skin works with the amino acids on the skins surface and form melanoids which give the brown color. The DHA or sugar compound reacts with the outer layer of skin giving you a beautiful sun-kissed glow. Because the FAKE BAKE solution reacts with the skins own tones and amino acids the tan develops to a shade to suit the clients natural coloring, whether that is fair or dark. The tan will develop in 6 hours however for maximum effect we recommend a development time of 8-10 hours.  Your tan can last between 7-10 days. A typical spray tan session takes about 30 to 45 minutes.
